VLAMM was founded in 2021, born from an observation Micheline (founder) and Laurentine (co-product developer) made while traveling across various African countries: women used a wide variety of natural oils to care for their hair. Inspired by this rich diversity, they envisioned a product that would bring together the best of these oils into one exceptional formula. That vision became VLAMM.

Both founders pursued formal training in cosmetology and chemistry to deepen their knowledge and refine VLAMM’s formulation, ensuring it met the highest standards of quality and effectiveness. Accompany by the founders has been Veronica who is the glue, heart and soul of the company, ensuring everything run smoothly. 

Zineb, the latest addition to the team, came with the vision to commercialize the product at a global stage, with her background in cosmetology, chemistry and sales. She and Micheline took the lead in expanding the brand—starting in Wisconsin and quickly reaching international markets including Canada, Côte d’Ivoire, Morocco, France, Belgium, the Philippines and Colombia.

Originally designed for Black hair, VLAMM quickly proved to be a universal solution. Thanks to the diversity within their own families and friends, they discovered that the product worked beautifully on all hair types—curly, straight, wavy, afro-textured, and mixed. VLAMM is not only suitable for hair, it also works on beards. It softens hair, eases styling, soothes itching, moisturizes & hydrates and over time, promotes healthy hair growth.
